Anthropologie: Floral Cocktails with Cassie Winslow

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by one of my favorites, Anthropologie, about all things Floral Libations. I shared a few of my favorite floral cocktail recipes in my book, all of which are perfect to shake up this time of year. You can check out the interview and the recipes here and scroll down for a sneak peek!Flowers have a way of making every occasion more festive – including cocktail hour.“They’re beautiful, of course, but flowers can add really lovely flavors, as well,” says Cassie Winslow.Cassie is the founder of the lifestyle blog Deco Tartelette, as well as the author of Floral Libations, a new recipe book dedicated to flower-centric drinks. After experimenting with edible plants in her own garden in Santa Cruz, she realized how easily a few blossoms could elevate classic cocktails.“Most people don’t think to use them in the kitchen, but just like herbs, flowers are really versatile – some are sweet, some are spicy, others offer nice earthy notes,” says Cassie. “It opens up a whole new world of ingredients.” See the rest of the interview and snag the recipes over on Anthropologie's website...cheers!{SHOP} Smocked Blouse, Dunyana Flutes, Dunyana Carafe, Alair Juice Glasses, Bombay GlasswareYou can also shop my book, Floral Libations, at Anthropologie here...
