Dirty Martinis with Goat Cheese Stuffed Olives

Dry MartiniDirty Martinis are enjoyable year round....bracing in the winter and refreshing in the summer....First, chill your martini glasses: Place each martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes...or you can drop a few ice cubes in each glass with some soda water...Shake two ounces of vodka (Hangar One Vodka is pretty delicious) with a splash of olive juice and a handful of ice in your cocktail shaker. Stir for 30 seconds or shake if you would like a layer of ice. Take your martini glasses out of the freezer and rinse each glass with dry vermouth (I recommend Noilly Prat). Pour vodka mixture through a strainer into the martini glasses. Serve with two olives on a toothpick (I also like to serve with Goat Cheese Stuffed Olives...see recipe below).Goat Cheese Stuffed Olives (one dozen):You can either purchase herbed goat cheese or you can make it yourself. I use 4 ounces of Ms. Natural Cypress Grove Chevre and chop up a total of 2 Tablespoons of herbs (thyme, rosemary, chives) and lemon zest. Mix everything together. Stuff 12 extra large pitted Spanish olives. Place two olives on a toothpick.Cheers!Photo by N.C. WinslowRecipe + Styling by Cassie Winslow
