Black Mission Fig Agua Fresca | Deco Tartelette

Agua frescas have to be one of the most refreshing beverages...I could sip on this fruity delight all day, everyday!I typically use melon or berries when I make homemade agua fresca so I decided to branch out and try something different. Fig Agua Fresca is sooooo delicious. I added fresh lemon juice to balance the sweetness of the figs and only a touch of honey...serve over ice and garnish with a slice of fig for the ultimate summer refreshment. Of course add a splash of your favorite spirit if you are craving a cocktail. Cheers and happy summer!Fig Agua FrescaIngredients:Serves 41 pint of organic figs, halved2 cups filtered waterOrganic honey to tasteJuice from 2 organic lemonsSlices of fig for garnishDirections:Blend the figs in a blender. Pour through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl. Add water and lemon juice. Taste. Add honey to taste (I added a generous tablespoon). Mix. Chill. Serve in tumbler of your choice (I used these beauties…). Add a splash of vodka if you are feeling adventurous…cheers!Photography + Recipe by Cassie Winslow
