Kumquat Chamomile Whiskey Sours

For each cocktail...

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp Kumquat Chamomile Simple Syrup (recipe below)

2 ounces whiskey

Juice from 1 lemon

Handful of ice

Kumquat slices for garnish

Directions:

Place ice in a tumbler of your choice. Add simple syrup, whiskey, and lemon juice. Stir. Garnish with kumquat slices.

Kumquat Chamomile Whiskey Sours

Kumquat Chamomile Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp organic, dried chamomile flowers (if you can’t find dried whole flowers, you can use a bag of chamomile tea)

3 kumquats, sliced

1 cup organic sugar

1/2 cup filtered water

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Allow to simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain the syrup using a fine mesh sieve. Place in a squeaky-clean, airtight container and store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
