Mint Julep
First, make a batch of Mint Simple Syrup:You will need:2 cups organic sugar1 cup filtered waterhandful of mint leavesPlace sugar and water in a pot over the stove and bring to a boil. Reduce heat so the mixture is simmering…simmer for about 5 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved. Add mint leaves. Let cool and store in the fridge in a squeaky clean glass bottle.To make the cocktails:Fill each cup with ice. Add about 1 Tablespoon of mint simple syrup and 2 ounces of rye whisky. Stir.
