Rosey Greyhound
Have you ever made a greyhound cocktail before? It's so lovely, light, and best of all simple! I like to call my version the Rosey Greyhound as I rim the glass with rose petal sugar.This delightful beverage is so simple to whip up. By just following a few easy steps, you'll be sipping on this delicious floral libation in no time.
Rosey Greyhound
IngredientsFor each cocktail1/4 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice2 ounces vodkaHandful of iceRose Petal Sugar (to rim the glass-recipe follows)Slice of lemon or grapefruit for garnish + extra to rim the glassDirections:First, you will need to rim the glass. Place the rose petal sugar in a shallow plate or bowl. Wet the rim of a tumbler of your choice with a wedge of lemon or grapefruit then dip it in the rose petal sugar, gently rolling to coat it evenly. Gently place a handful of ice into the tumbler. Fill with grapefruit juice then vodka. Stir. Enjoy!
Rose Petal Sugar
Makes 1 cup approximatelyIngredients:1/4 cup organic, dried rose petals1 cup sugarDirectionsUsing a food processor or spice grinder, grind dried rose petals for about 10 seconds until they resemble small flakes. Be sure to not grind into a powder. In a large bowl, combine the dried rose petals and sugar.
