Floral Pleasure: Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas :: Deco TarteletteHydrangeas are pretty spectacular...clusters of teeny flowers bundled up into delightful little pom-poms.Over the years, I have learned to care for freshly cut hydrangeas so they last for up to two weeks. When you take these beauties home, immediately submerge the flowers underwater for 10 seconds...it sounds bizarre but it ensures the flowers will stay open and hydrated. Cut the stems before placing in a vessel of your choosing. Fill the vase with fresh water every other day and trim the stems slightly. If brown freckles begin to appear on some of the flowers, simply pluck. As much as I love a beautiful flower arrangement, hydrangeas can be simply pretty all by their lonesome.Pink Hydrangeas :: Deco Tartelette Photography + Styling by Cassie Winslow
